Tournament Details
The VGT Spring Championship is an 18-Hole stroke play Invitational Tournament for the top VGT Professionals and Amateur Golfers (0-16 hdcp). All players will be provided with range warm-up and lunch following play.

Full Field Size: 60 players
Professional Purse: $7,500 (based on 40 Pros).
First place: $1,500
Pro Payout: Top 40% payout
Amateur Prizes Payout: Top Gross Scores in each Division win gift certificates and prizes.

Eligibility

The top 40 Professionals on the 2009 Order of Merit as of the completion of the May 11th Green Room Open will be eligible to compete in this Championship. The top 10 Championship Amateurs, top 5 Flight A Amateurs and top 5 Flight B Amateurs in the 2009 Order of Merit as of the end of the May 11th Green Room Open (for a total of 20 Amateurs) will be invited to play in this event. If by the registration deadline, this event is not full with eligible players, we will work down the 2009 OOM standings within each category to fill the field. Non-member Professionals and Amateurs may register on a wait list in the event that this event fails to fill with VGT members by Thursday, May 21st.

VGT Member Professionals: $175 plus GST
Non-Member Pros: $205 plus GST
VGT Amateurs: $105 plus GST
Non-Member Amateurs: $135 plus GST

Tee Times
Tee time is a 7:30am shotgun start for all competitors

CLEVELAND GOLF/SRIXON CANADA Order of Merit (OOM)

OOM points will be awarded in each category of membership. Professionals OOM is based on a player's cash earnings and Amateur OOM is based on the following point system for this event:

1st Place: 1000 pts
2nd Place: 600 pts
3rd Place: 500 pts
4th Place: 400 pts
5th Place: 300 pts
6th Place: 200 pts
7th Place: 180 pts
8th Place: 160 pts
9th Place: 140 pts
10th Place: 120 pts

SRIXON BALL BONUS:

A total of $500 in bonus money is available for VGT Professionals endorsing the SRIXON BALL. A $250 bonus will be paid to the top VGT Member playing the SRIXON BALL at the end of the SPRING and SUMMER ORDER OF MERITS.

CLEVELAND GOLF BONUS:

A total of $500 in bonus money is available for VGT Professionals endorsing CLEVELAND GOLF equipment (min. 9 clubs). A $250 bonus will be paid to the top VGT Member playing CLEVELAND GOLF equipment at the end of the SPRING and SUMMER ORDER OF MERITS.

Course Details
Hazelmere Golf Club offers a scenic but challenging 18 hole, 6806 yard course designed for players of all abilities. This par 72 course was established in 1962 and designed by Olson, Beatty, and Hnatiuk. In 2003, Hazelmere underwent extensive renovations, turning it into a championship PGA tour standard golf course.
